In The Dishh

Jonathan Cheban was missing that warm weather so he packed his bags and flew down to Miami.

Filled with gorgeous sunlight, clear skies, beautiful people, and more importantly, some of the dankest food the United States has to offer, it’s no wonder why JC takes frequent trips down to the sunshine state.

Jonathan was hungry, per usual, and was feeling some Asian-inspired dishes. He did his Food God research and found Kyu, a wood-fired Asian inspired restaurant. You read that right, a wood-fired Asian restaurant. Have you ever heard of that before?

The restaurants head chef Michael Lewis has an incredibly complex mindset when it comes to cooking. He firmly believes in Wabi-sabi, the art of finding perfection in something imperfect – how deep is that? Incorporating a mindset into the kitchen that helps reflect the brand along with your food is already thinking so many steps ahead. You can’t help but to appreciate the art behind the food in this.

Jonathan made sure to record his whole experience at Kyu on his Snapchat, and it definitely looked phenomenal.

Check out what JC recommends for an appetizer. These soft shell crab steamed buns looked ridiculous. I mean just look at that presentation!
